I just got a small crack at the bottom of my original oem 1991 windshield. About a foot long, probably from stress or maybe even the weak t-top chassis twisting, but i know it was not a rock chip.What is the current consensus regarding oem vs aftermarket windshield? I know there are many old postings, but can someone provide a current 2016 opinion? Oem bronze coupe windshield? Oem blue coupe windshield? Safelite install? Junkyard? What steps are required to take out the windshield? I would rather take trim off myself vs letting a service tech do it. What parts can be salvaged and what should always be replaced? Feel free to post links of recommended articles/postings.
